In this class students learn Middle Eastern percussion on tabla, frame drum, riq (Arabic tambourine) or zills (finger cymbals). Dancers have the opportunity to work on improvisation and drum solo skills with live playing. This very unique class lets participants experience Middle Eastern music and rhythm from either a playing or dancing perspective – or some each – in every every class!
